David Demers

David Demers serves as Distingushed Faculty Associate in Supply Chain and Technology for Penn State University’s Executive Education Programs and he is the founder of Avicon Learning Resources; a global supply chain applied learning practice. Dave brings forty years of experience in consulting, education, supply chain operations and coaching which enables him to address value chain learning challenges. He has lead major coaching; consulting and enterprise applied learning initiatives involving the transformation of supply chain models on a global basis. Among his client assignments are such diverse indusrty leaders as Apple, Dell, Cisco Systems, HP, Parker Hannifin, GAP, Baxter Health Care, ExxonMobil, SABIC, Bayer, Arkema, Office Depot and many other global corporations.

Prior to his current teaching and innovation coaching roles, Dave gained twenty years of diverse operational and strategic experience in senior supply chain leadership positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, M&M Mars, and Ore-Ida Foods, the frozen foods division of H.J. Heinz.

Dave holds an MBA in Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University and a BS from Northeastern University in Business Logistics.
